Frequently Asked Questions

Q:  What if I know we will not be completing lessons over a few days due to a sickness or vacation.

A:  Simply email/text your teacher to make them aware that you won't be completing lessons.

Q:  My child is struggling with a lesson or skill. What can do for extra help?

A:  Call, text or email  your teacher to let them know and they will set up a time to meet one-on-one in their Zoom classroom for extra practice or provide extra resources for you.

Q:  My child is not able to make it the live class connect session. What should I do?

A:  All class connects are recorded and the links will be organized in a document that you can access on your course home page in FLVS.

Q:  How do I know if my child is on track?

A:  Your gradebook in FLVS will show your % of completed progress and grade for each course.  The general rule is to complete 6% of each course per week to stay on track.  You should also be following your course pace charts to see where you should be every week.

Q:  Is my child allowed to work ahead?

A:  Yes, you can work ahead as much as you want.  Please just make sure that you are completing your lessons in order and are not skipping required DBAs or module exams.

Q: Where can I find help to navigate the FLVS program?

A:  Refer to the "Orientation Video" on the home page of this website.  That will include everything you need about getting started and navigating the platform.
